Troubleshooting Your SunPower Monitoring System

Most SunPower PV systems come with a SunPower monitoring system. If the sun is shining, but your SunPower monitoring site says you’re not producing any energy, it’s time to troubleshoot. You could schedule a time with Restart Solar to come out and fix it, but most of the time, the issue is simple enough that you can quickly fix it yourself in a matter of minutes.

Step 1: Make sure your power line adapter is plugged directly into the wall, not into a power strip.

Step 2: Make sure one end of the Ethernet cable is plugged securely into the bottom of the power line adapter and the other end is plugged into your router.

Step 3: If the lights on the front are not all on and green, unplug the power line adapter from the wall and plug it back in. If all the lights don’t come on in 10 seconds, locate the reset button on the bottom of the adapter. Without unplugging the power line adapter, press and hold down the reset button for 15 seconds. Release and wait 10 more seconds.

Step 4: If all the lights don’t come back on and your Sunpower monitoring site still says you’re not producing anything, give us a call and we’ll schedule a time to come have a look.
