Crew Foreman

Overview

The Crew Foreman reports to the Operations Manager and will function as the lead technician on residential PV installations. Crew Foremans will meet with customers, describe the work to be done, and coordinate the completion of the project. The Crew Foreman will provide leadership, coaching, and technical expertise to the installation team, with emphasis on safety and efficiency. Must maintain active and positive communication with the crew and Operations Support. Attend mandatory training sessions on new products, installation methodology and safety.

Responsibilities

  • Verify correct roof equipment required for each installation
  • Pull additional consumables required for each installation
  • Pre-assemble job components in the warehouse, when applicable
  • Layout and assembly of solar modules / array and mounting hardware
  • Mechanical/structural mounting of racking, modules and junction boxes
  • Electrical wiring of solar array/system (DC)
  • Record required information of completed installation
  • Clean-up of ground/roof area
  • Attend mandatory training sessions on new products, installation methodology and safety
  • Additional duties required as needed

Qualifications

  • Must have one year minimum of PV installation experience
  • Proficiency in installing multiple types of grid-tied inverters and/or able to work with various roof mounting systems
  • Understanding of the NEC codes that relate to PV installations
  • Must be organized and able to meet deadlines
  • Ability to manage install team and coordinate rotations
  • Excellent customer service skills required
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs
  • Ability to work in extreme environments (example: hot sun, cold)
  • Must be willing and able to climb ladders, stairs and work on rooftops
  • Basic computer and smartphone skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must have a valid state driver’s license

Ground Installer

Overview

The Ground Installer assists the Lead Ground installer (or Crew Foreman) on residential PV installations. The Ground Installer will follow direction from his Lead, with emphasis on safety and efficiency. Must maintain active and positive communication with the entire crew.

  • Assist Mechanical/structural mounting of electrical equipment
  • Assist Electrical wiring of solar array/system (AC and DC)
  • Clean-up of ground area
  • Attend mandatory training sessions on new products, installation methodology and safety

  • Must have 3-6 months minimum of PV installation experience

Document Manager

Overview & Responsibities

The Document Manager reports to the GM or Admin Manager and will function as the lead document coordinator on PV installations. Document Manager will handle customer service needs, perform final CV/Price Verification per project, perform Pre-Ops Plan Check for non-BOS BOM and SOW, invoice customers, classify material and service costs on a per project basis, order materials and on-hand inventory, and will ensure projects are fully complete for documentation after all work finished, PTO granted, and customer endorsement requested. The Document Manager will provide leadership, coaching, and administrative expertise to the Admin team, with emphasis on thoroughness and efficiency. Must maintain active and positive communication with office, field, and field support personnel. Must meet all responsibilities of Document Specialist. Attend mandatory training sessions on new products, paperwork methodology and processes.

• Proficiency in multiple types of software and SaaS, including but not limited to Office 365, OneDrive, Salesforce, QuickBooks online
